Ok what we will be starting off with, is the very first thing. adding a sprue to the sculpted parts to be molded.

This is the first step in the molding process.

So let me show ya billy all sprue'd up. Next will be making the mold frame.

This is the full figure, not counting the joints for the arms, I have them in a mold by themselves. I will however take a pic of them by themselves. The plan is to make a NEW video showing how to put them together.

This lil number is a lil something new. A new torso that I thought folks could have some fun with. I will be molding this while making new molds, and will make it available on ebay, first come first serve.

And last but not least, some explanation of why you need that toothpick sprue.

The sprue will allow the part to stand up in the mold, allowing rubber to encase the part, this gives you detail all the way around the part, no detail is lost, cept that lil spot the tooth pick is added to. Even then its just a tad, and not very noticeable.

You will note how the head will stand up, just like in the pic.

Next will be making the mold frame. Look for part 2 in the next few days. I will not be able to show any more after that, till I get the new rubber, which I have ordered, thanks to the folks for helping. For those denoted to help me get back on track, each of you will get the zombie head and torso free. I have other parts as well not shown yet that are ready to be molded as well.

Thanks for the time folks and see when I post step 2.

Dave

Beautiful work (the zombie and Billy)! And thanks for giving a tutorial on the sprues. It'll be fascinating to see how the mold and casting process goes.

Great stuff. Love the intricate detail in each sculpt, the zombie alone makes one salivate...

Its an epoxy, and it wasnt me who sculpted it. It was the sculptor Krexx, who worked for me during my time of running SlayerDesigns.
