Looks like the sodomizing BATTLESHIT took at the box office has scared Paramount and possibly Hasbro shitless.

You'll have to forgive my language.

- Trashing all the RAH molds
- GIJCC tossing us under the bus
- GIJCC incompetence with credit cards
- Crappy Club subscription service making fan favcorite characters completely unattainable at retail.
- SDCC Jinx (And the FoC Bruticus, but thats another fandom)
- Shitcanning the 30th Anniversary line for the movie
- 30th being near impossible to find at retail

Im no lover of ME style, but at least the vehicles worked well with my o-ring.

There are no words that can adequately convey the sheer enormity of my rage towards Hasbro right now. The inmates are running the asylum.

Granted the movie delay and the Credit card shitstorm may have been out of Hasbro's hands. But all this crap happening one after another are killing GI Joe and strained my patience to the breaking point.

Yeah, not a good time to be a Joe fan.

At least the Fangboat, Awestriker and HISS are decent vehicles that can work with our o-ring figures. Some fun can still be salvaged

I strongly urge everyone to get on the ball and grab what you can NOW. Because I imagine other fans will panic and scalpers will be all over this like cocaine on the ass of Daryl DePriest's favorite male prostitute.

I heard Hasbro is asking stores to send the Retaliation toys back.

G.I. Joe is an ongoing consumer franchise and therefore there is merchandise available to consumers. There is a limited amount of G.I. Joe Retaliation product at retail now, but in light of the movie moving out to March 29, 2013, the majority of the movie line will be made available early next year in time for the film’s release.

No. Their public statement does not say they will recall anything or does not say they will not release anything else. Note that they say "the MAJORITY" not "All of it." Retailers have already paid for the first couple waves

They will not ask to have them returned because that will cost them more money in the long run. Hasbro buys shelf space for their product from these stores. If they just pull all products they lose the rent money and stores will not put up with it because stores count outs a few times a week and if those keep showing up as outs the store loses money.

Also check BBTS. They still have pre-orders up for wave 2. Those would have been revoked already if recall was the case. My locaql TRU still has their toys up as of Saturday night.

I have a friend who works at Wal-Mart who told me all that. He understands how retail works.

Quote :
Story sounds like a person who was fishing around the net and just made up his own news. First off I can tell you store managers do not know or care about GI Joe toys and the shelf space. This is just fans over re-acting to a movie line that is not that great anyway. Again being in retail for over 20 years of my life I know if a store manager or even department manager would not know shit. Plus I get the emails for what we need to hold and pull and I have yet to see one for GI Joe. Its just like people talking to a manager and expecting to find crap out it just don't happen.

It's probable you can pick a Rock figure up RIGHT THIS MINUTE. Good news is TRU had already put them on the shelves as of Weds last week. I picked up the HISS, Awestriker and Fangboat.

Bad news is... I hope you've got some expendable ME style figures to swap his hands out with.

Thanks, that's good news then. Like I said I was, and still am, looking forward to checking them out tomorrow. As for the hands, I'll have to do some swapping. That I'm not too worried about.

(I've personally only heard of items being cut off by suppliers- if there was an issue or substitution. In one case there was a recall on a garden pesticide- that had to be sent back to our warehouse. I've been working as a retail mgr for 23 years- my main supplier is ACE hardware.)

Variety mentions recalls, but if you read closely, there's absolutely NO actual source about who this manager is or even what retail chain they work for.
